The Elite Foundation began in 1988 as an informal organization, established by successful immigrants to the United states of America from Nigeria.

Our mission is to give back something to our community here in America, Nigeria, and other parts of Africa.

Elite Foundation is challenging all people to join hands together to build a COMMUNITY CENTER that will address the urgent need to provide new hope for at risk youth in the greater South Central Los Angeles community. We hope that this center will not only bring all people together, but also give hope, voice, and a place to all people. The foundation has developed the proposed Elite Foundation Community Center to provide a safe and nurturing environment for the provision of an array of support services and programs. The overall goal of the Community Center project is to improve the educational and social outcomes for at-risk children and youth in South Central Los Angeles Community. While South Central is traditionally viewed as an African American community, in recent years, the Latino population has expanded rapidly, and this area is now multiethnic.

Life is hard in South Central Los Angeles, particularly for the thousands of children and youth who face an astounding array of risk factors on a daily basis in this severely gang-impacted community. South central, along with other urban areas across the country, is facing an ever increasing tide of juvenile delinquency and youth violence, much of it having its origins in the significant growth of risk factors in the community. gang membership and random urban violence are epidemic in South Central.

To address the urgent need to provide hope and a safe and nurturing environment for the at-risk youth, Elite Foundation has developed the proposed COMMUNITY CENTER, in a joint effort with all of our generous citizens, civic leaders, and all people offer panoply of programs and services such as:

  • SOCIAL WELFARE
  • ACADEMIC ENRICHMENT
  • LIFE SKILLS EDUCATION
  • PRE-EMPLOYMENT SKILLS AND TRAINING
  • PLEASURE/RECREATION/SPORT ACTIVITIES
  • MENTORING PROGRAMS
  • PEER-SUPPORT GROUPS AND FAMILY COUNSELING
  • CIVIC IMPROVEMENT
  • SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
